A great franchise, but stiff costs...
Here is one for those who want a clear, identifiable niche to sink their teeth into.
Company History.
They were founded in 1989, and have been franchising since 1989. There has been steady growth, and a recent push into Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Franchise Opportunities.
They want everyone, and pretty much everywhere. If I say that in the US their franchise wish list runs from Alaska to Wyoming you pretty much get the picture. And like I said earlier, they are branching out. Here are the franchise details.
Costs of the Franchise.
They require you to have a net worth of 40k before they will even consider you. And they see your total investment at being 49k. The ongoing royalty fee is thankfully small, coming in at 4%. All of this over a 5 year term of agreement.
Other Information.
You will have to prove general business skills and clear marketing experience. You can run this from home (which is why it is being mentioned here), and they expect a team of 1-2 people for a franchised unit. So gunslingers can go it alone. Training and support takes about three days, and they offer a regional advertising network. Above that, it is all about the leads they give you.
Verdict
This has relatively high start-up costs, but the company is showing steady growth. The international side adds promise. It works for me because of the product. You get the funds, and you have something that everyone needs, at least once a year.
Until next time, work smart.
