The iPhone has become the major ‘must have’ accessory, both for business and pleasure. More than just a mobile, the cell phone has turned the communications business upside down. But you knew all of this. You’ve probably got one. Chances are you use it to help run your business. In fact, this particular cell phone could well be your sole business partner.
However, figures show that not only is the iPhone great for helping you to manage your business, it can actually create a business for you too. The number of iPhone users who are creating their own apps (applications) for the mobile is growing in a massive way. These apps retail from just a few dollars. And they are big business.
The iPhone is pretty much becoming the gateway to huge profits. Venture capitalists, investors who work with projects that are designed to grow quickly, have invested millions in people and companies that make apps. One lone app maker made hundreds of thousands of dollars last month, with a shooting game app.
So what does this mean for you guys? Well, if you have a handful of code knowledge, consider writing an iPhone app as part of your business strategy. You might not make hundreds of thousands next month, but as another revenue stream, it might be worth a go.
